The city was founded in the 18th century, so it is relatively recent. At the time, it was a small town that lived off pearl fishing and was isolated from the rest of the world. That has changed a lot. Today, it is a destination known for luxury tourism and the business world.

Why use a map of Dubai?
If you want to explore the city, a map of Dubai is essential. The city is huge, and a map will be particularly useful to help you get around. You can also keep it on your phone and consult it on site if you don’t have an Internet connection. Dubai is famous for luxury tourism, modern architecture, and also for its lively nightlife.
On site, there are tourist spots you simply can’t miss. In particular, there’s the Burj Al Arab, a sail-shaped hotel near the sea. It’s one of the landmarks you shouldn’t skip.

Which is not exactly common (and quite unusual) given the temperatures in the region (we’ll come back to that). And to go even further, you can visit the Mall of the Emirates, where you’ll find indoor ski slopes (yes, you read that right).
When to go to Dubai?
Before heading off to discover Dubai, you might be wondering when to visit the city. Here, the map of Dubai won’t be of any use, but we wanted to cover this point to help you plan your trip. Dubai lies on the Persian Gulf and therefore has a climate typical of the Middle East.
Generally, the best time to go is considered to be from November to March. Why? Quite simply because the weather is “milder” during that period. Dubai has two main seasons: a hot one and an even hotter one.
In winter, you can go to the sea without any problem and enjoy the city’s beautiful beaches. In fact, the main tourist season is during the “cooler” season, so to speak. If you still want to visit during the summer months, you’re likely to face temperatures regularly above 35°C, and even temperatures that can easily exceed 40°C—something that can make your stay very unpleasant.
